This antique Persian rug features small scale Herati design within a large diamond medallion navy blue field. It is intricately detailed and meticulously woven using vegetable-dyed wool. Dating back to the 1920s, it comes from Persia, and the village of Malayer. It is solid in construction and structure, and will be perfectly fine in high traffic areas like the entry or kitchen. The beautiful ivory border band has paisley and caterpillar motif art and the edge guards has lovely floral work.

The rug exhibits a beautifully aged palette, with aged natrual dyes. It is low pile, sturdy and stout and will make a wonderful addition to the home and will be passed down again as the wonderful heirloom that it is!
