It’s easy to fall in love with a piece that has so much rich soul. This small rug isn’t just an ordinary one, it’s a deeply personal piece of history. As an authentic antique prayer rug, it likely belonged to a single owner who carried it along on their daily journeys. You can practically feel that personal connection woven straight into every single knot!
The artwork here is raw and real. Woven with striking, ultra-saturated natural dyes and 100% wool on foundation and pile, the palette is alive with pops of turmeric yellow that make the whole field sing. Take a close look at those border bands, too, they're filled with alternating-color eight-pointed stars, an ancient tribal motif.
Structure-wise, it’s woven with low-pile wool. It has a weighted, floppy handle paired with a solid, heavy feel in hand. Quality is felt. Because it was a cherished daily companion, it shows some scattered wear throughout, with its authentic patina and storied, one-of-a-kind charm.
