5’1 x 9’1 Antique Persian Malayer (#1482ML) / 5x9 rug

This is an antique Persian Malayer from the 1920s, from the Hamadan district. The area to which this runner was hand woven is one of the rug epicenters. Displaying warm and rust color ways, this low pile rug has a Herati design and sits on a dark charcoal backdrop. 

Hand knotted with vegetable dyed wool. Nothing synthetic about this old rug! Please see pics for up close look at its timeworn condition  It has wool loss/tear on one end that was stitched up
