This is a Soumak that offers oh so much! It features medallions and motifs throughout, with enormous character and wear, earned only through time. It travels to us from the Caucasus mountains, hand woven in the late 19th Century. This flat weave rug illustrates many life cultural elements from the tribe members that once took to the rug.
It is highly decorative and meaningful with immense history, art and culture that would be a statement piece in the home. Check out all of the natural vegetable dyes and the shades throughout.
