Woven of vegetable dyed wool and non-dyed camel hair, this ornate Persian Serab rug is simply a work of art. This early 1900s village rug was undoubtedly woven from the weaver’s own camel and sheep. It has earthy color ways and the aesthetic is truly lovely and elegant.
This nicely sized 5x9 rug has gorgeous paisleys throughout the field. The ground color of the field of the rug is midnight blue ground (which comes from indigo) and the contrast of the camel wool is quite attractive. Check out the weaver's mark of paisleys in the border! So awesome.
This is a high quality Oriental (it means handmade) rug that is low pile, durable, and has at least another century of time for enjoyment. Please note, this rug has a wedge opening on one side of the border that has been secured from the bottom. Please see pics.
Woven in the early 1900's with vegetable dyed wool and all natural camel hair.
