A stout and sturdy antique Persian Mahal with a wonderful field of small scale Herati art. Woven circa 1920, this low pile village rug will be easy to style with its all over design and will be able to take on high traffic. The border bands are intricate with floral art, with the main border showing off caterpillar motifs on an ivory ground. In nice condition for its age, with all natural, vegetable dyed wool on a cotton foundation. Low pile, with scattered wear.
