6x11 Vintage Tribal Rug #3376

Regular price $1,850.00

Enter the whimsical world of the 1940s with this enchanting Afghan gallery size rug! Measuring a wild 6'2 x 11'3, this beauty has soft, cuddly wool and an all over tribal pattern that looks like painted tiles and exhibits a lot of abrash, which is a natural phenomenon that occurs when a new batch of dyed wool is introduced during the weaving process. If you look at the rug closely and our detailed photos, you can see the change in the dyes as one part of the rug exhibits dynamic dye transitions, with one section from the other, showcasing distinct color changes. This unique characteristic adds a touch of intrigue and authenticity to the rug, elevating its artistic value and reflecting the skillful craftsmanship behind its creation.

The border bands sport a barber pole design and a running water motif in the edge guard, adding a dash of flair and a glimpse into what the weaver valued. This has a  looser weave giving the wool slight flexibility and softness to its handle.

Now, let's talk colors! From eggplant lavender to tangy tangerine, this rug is a symphony of hues. Light sage, pops of teal, berrylicious shades, espresso richness, and hints of steel gray and faint steel blue. This rug is ready to roll, bringing a pop of personality and a splash of history to your home! At a value buy. Thanks for shopping small!
