With a muddy & deep toned palette, a floppy handle and amazing old world wool, this powerful rug defines age and story. It is from the 1880s and is from the Southwest of P E R S I A. 

Like other nomadic weavings from the mountainous Fars region, it has a saturated intensity with its natural, vegetable dyed wool. Many of these 19th century tribal pieces are noted for the use of high-quality, durable wool in their construction.
