7’6 x 10’4 Antique Persian Mahal Rug (#1422ML)

A beautiful and naturally timeworn antique rug! This is a Mahal rug from the NW mountains of Persia with and all over pattern on a midnight dusty navy blue to midnight blue ground, antique ivory corners and rust brick orange borders. The wool is low pile, soft and floppy and is ready to serve for another century of life. It was woven circa 1920 and has gorgeous, scattered wear, showing off a lot of its age and character.

This rug has been hand knotted with vegetable dyed wool.
