On a dusty and light coral-berry ground, this distinct Persian comes from the mountainous region of Heriz, a village in the NW of the country that has some of the most inspiring tribal rug woven. The weavers of this area created pieces that are rustic and charming and the demand for them has been constant, since the 1920s.
This low pile beauty has scattered wear and shows off aged natural dyes that have mellowed through time. Its design that you see also stands out from the crowd, appealing to us because of its great artistic individuality. The borders are a deep, midnight blue.
7'5 x 10'1.
Woven in the 1920s with pure vegetable dyed wool.
