This Persians is one of the heavyweights in shop. It's got a hefty handle and it'll take on abuse for the next few centuries. From Mashhad which happens to be the holiest city in Persia, this ivory ground rug features paisleys throughout, scattered wear and exceptional wool. The all over art will make it easy to style. The borders feature beautiful floral art on a midnight blue ground.
Naturally distressed through time, you'll have a lot of character in this rug, as it shows off its age, woven circa 1920. It has a signature woven up top at the border of the rug, which typically means that a master weaver was handling this rug on the loom.
Please note and see pic, there is one small patch in this rug.
Handwoven, with all natural, vegetable dyed wool.
