The antique Persian Sarouk from circa 1930 has truly stood the test of time and continues to be most popular rug in the West. Sarouk are known to have exceptional quality and tremendous durability, to withstand several generations of heavy use, so go ahead and let the dogs play all over it!

Hand knotted and made of vegetable dyed wool, this particular Sarouk has a wonderful blush ground or can be identified as salmon as well. It is low wool pile and with scattered wear and has a sturdy handle with a nice and stiff cotton foundation. The Sarouk features a fabulous and small cross central medallion and is surrounded with stylized floral bouquets and sprays all throughout. The color ground is the result of aged dyes as this was originally from madder root and on a red ground. The timeworn look and color attained is from age and stands out from the crowd of the many Sarouk that is with a deep red ground.

Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool.
