From the 1920s, this highly artistic rug has coarse wool and all over pattern design. It is a geometric gem that has loads to offer. Let's just point out the obvious...we are in love with the abrash...it definitely wins a trophy for it. What is abrash? It is the variation of all natural dyes that you see evident throughout the rug. The changes you see are from the vegetable dyes and different batches of wool that was used by the weavers. You see, they used vegetables, plants, fruits, flowers to cook the wool and each batch comes out with its own natural shade and depth of color/dye. When you see a streak change on the rug, it indicates changes of hands on the loom and wool. Pretty friggin' fantastic if you ask us!
