7'8 x 10'3 Antique 1920s tribal Heriz rug (#1609) / 8x10 vintage Rug

From the 1920s and handwoven with vegetable dyed wool, this Persian Heriz has awesome art to take in and it has gorgeous wear and character, too. The ground color is madder red that is calm and flat. The highly stylized borders sit on an intensely dark blue ground featuring turtle elements and a floral edge guard. 

Within the field of the Heriz rug, you have remarkable geometric motifs and angular design flanked with exquisite natural dyes popping, especially that sensational sky blue! The vegetable dyes are pretty irresistible and you nothing synthetic here, but old world wool that is coarse from the NW Persian mountainous areas. It’s a great piece with a large size to pull a whole space together with style and history. Low pile with durable will that will last generations to come.
