There is a ton of goodness going on here. An all over pattern Persian with distinct floral design, great age, and a lot of style. From the village of Mahal, the shades of green has our hearts throbbing as we rarely see green in antique rugs. We know the artisans meant business! The rug sits on a madder red ground and the borders are deep indigo blue.
This Persian was hand knotted in the 1920s with wool, on a cotton foundation. It is low pile. We have indoor and outdoor shots for your viewing pleasure.
