Here's an antique Persian with fire brick orange ground color, deeply saturated dyes and scattered wear. This room size rug has lived life for 100 years and offers up its deliciously aged character that has been earned through time.
It was woven in the village of Malayer in Persia, circa 1920 and it is amazing to see this in room size as Malayers are typically woven in scatter rug size. It features a water garden design in the field which are fish rotating around the flower heads in pattern. The rug has a deep navy blue border and remarkable abrash presented which is a true work of art as you see different colors of wool within the exquisite floral motifs. There is no doubt, if you grab this Persian, you'll absolutely adore the beautiful border framing this rug.
