This is one wildly awesome Heriz! It is a Northwest Persia Gharejeh that was hand knotted from circa 1880 and offers an outstanding geometric design, color story and old world wool. This piece is fully intact, beautifully worn and has soft to the touch, coarse naturally dyed wool that is durable and has a floppy handle. It comes from the rugged mountains in Persia, where tribal weavers used their own sheep’s wool to weave.
The french blue corner medallions that also feature a rarely seen pistachio green simply make this stunner just pop. The central medallion has phenomenal coral and calm dyes that show off its age and character of this handwoven rug.
It has generations to go and can take a great deal of abuse, so let the kids and dogs play, but please gran a rug pad to keep it wiggle free: https://www.shopblueparakeetrugs.com/collections/rug-pads/products/xl-rug-pad
