From the South of Persia, a finely woven and worn Kerman Lavar from the late 19th Century featuring a warm sand ground. Flanked are floral sprays and arabesque art. The borders in a sangria ground chase lush willows and curvilinear art. This Persian is from circa 1880 and has scattered wear with some areas that have wear to foundation. Please see up close pics for full character and condition. Possesses a fine, Lavar tight weave. Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool. This Persian is a signed piece, see top border. It indicates a master weaver wove this rug.
