Woven originally for Persian royalty, this is an antique Ferahan Sarouk, one of the finest rugs from the region that was tightly woven by highly skilled hands, superior wool and with intricate art.
From circa 1910, this is a worn Persian and it has a very sturdy foundation. The natural dyes have aged quite well and it has a grand central medallion with double poled motifs extending and exquisite corner spandrels featuring a paisley that pops into the field. The abrash is so beautiful and pleasing to the eyes, showing off its age and organic nature of old!
Please see up close pics of some of the wear to foundation of this large Persian and thank you for checking this beauty out!
