This is a stunning, low pile, neutral antique Persian Tabriz rug from circa 1870 and offers us such a great piece of history to be cherished. It has a very fine weave and it may be a particular style of Tabriz from the master weaver, Haji Jalili.
This rug is quite distinct with superior vegetable dyed wool. The remarkable, subdued and aged color ways you see has been earned through time, and only through time. The floral art features palmettes, rosettes, and vine art. This tightly woven Tabriz is in great condition for its age with scattered wear.
It will undoubtedly be a little darker when styled indoors as the pics have been taken outside under indirect sunlight. We are happy to have this antique hand knotted Tabriz and to extend it at a great deal for this distinct and rare work of art.
