This is one wildly awesome Heriz! It is a Northwest Persia rug that was hand knotted from circa 1900 and offers a breathtakingly beautiful geometric design and color palette. This baby has camel, aqua blue, deep indigo blue (can appear black), pink/coral, melon, and irresistible baby blue. The medallions on the top and bottom grabs our hearts.
This Persian is nicely time worn and the dyes have gracefully aged. Please note that the dyes and shades of color have abrash (natural variation/shades) that are exquisite. If you look at the top third vs the bottom third of the rug, you will definitely notice the color/temperature change, which speaks on this rug’s age and the natural dyes implemented during the years they wove this wove rug and the different batches of dyes used. Large and in charge, this heirloom gives you lots in size and character. Oh, and it has generations to go and can take a great deal of abuse, so let the kids and dogs play!
