This rug was hand knotted in in the rugged mountains of NW Persia with a coarse weave and a sophisticated geometric design that we recognize as Heriz. These 1920s classic tribal rugs have constant demand and are timeless, powerful works that people love to style as the foundation of the room.
This low pile and durable Heriz sits on a madder red ground and has abundance in color ways. It showcases scattered wear and has 2 patches and you may miss them because they’re quite well done and also of Heriz (please see pic with them being pointed out).
