Woven in Western Turkey circa 1900, this Oushak rug sits on a madder red ground with stunning large medallions and motifs throughout. The colors of the medallions are pretty exquisite with the natural dyes showing much variation and shades that you can see from pic to pic.
There is nothing synthetic here. All of what you see is organic and real. The quality of wool is superior and soft. The rug is luxurious, heavy and feels like a blanket.
Very worn. Please see pics for full character and condition.
(sorry, USA only. Canada $50)
Hand knotted with vegetable dyed wool circa 1880-1900
