If you're seeking a Persian Heriz that stands out from the crowd with an eye catching design, you've definitely landed on one. The art work and intricate detail here has tremendous value to our eyes and you'll see the beautiful charcoal ground covered in serrated leaves, floral cross-sections, germinating plants with unusual character of large scale primitive design for the type and age, and palmettes. In the deep brick-rust border, you'll see turtle element motifs.
It's highly stylized and from circa 1920 and an unusual and awesome Persian that is rugged, from the NW mountains of the country, woven by tribal artisans.
This antique Heriz rug hand knotted over 100 years ago has exceptional artistic merit throughout with phenomenal vegetable dyed wool. It has earned its wear through time. The wool is durable and the rug is clean and ready to party on for centuries to come. A wonderful heirloom. Please see pics for its character and condition. Rug is fully intact.
