From village weavers of Heriz, this 1920s tribal Persian has a low wool pile and vegetable dyes with a great color story that will enhance the living space with the warm hues of cantaloupe melon ground, light golden camel, coral, indigo blue, teal, hunter green, ivory and more. The rug presents a highly stylized center medallion, top and bottom anchors, and numerous geometric motifs surrounding. It has a sweet and desirable border dressed in French blue, framing the rug magnificently.
It was woven with durable and coarse wool, and sits with exquisitely aged and mellowed natural dyes. You’ve got a definite vibe with this powerful, geometric rug. It shows off a lot of its style and character earned through time with beautifully scattered wear.
Please note, there is one tiny patch on the edge guard (see second to last pic).
