A stunning Persian with a field of immaculate flowers in the field. This rug was meant to impress. It comes from the 1920s, from one of the epicenters of rug weaving...TABRIZ! These are very well respected rugs that have tight knotting and with phenomenal naturally dyed wool that lasts forever.
This rug has earned this amazing color and tone through time, and only through time. If you look at the pictures, you will see the scattered reds throughout the rug, but majority of it has a tan ground. With the love of sun and time, it has a calmer palette with the original colors that have gracefully faded.
This Tabriz is in excellent condition, especially considering its age. The rug will undoubtedly be a little darker when styled indoors as the pics have been taken outside under indirect sunlight.
We are happy to have this antique hand knotted Tabriz and to extend it at a great deal for this work of art.
