Here's a subdued and eye catching 1880's hand woven Persian Kerman rug with a European feel. This rug has a lovely timeworn style earned through it 140+ years of age and was woven in the carpet weaving region known as Lavar. This smaller town is part of Kerman, but offers up the oldest of the rugs and the most prestigious ones, too. They are known for their floppy handle, finer wool and exceptional construction with a very tight weave.
It is lavish, low pile and in worn condition with muted tones. Please see pics for full condition and character from earned through time.
Handwoven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool. Priced at incredible value!
