It has superior craftsmanship that are associated to these village pieces. charcoal-black vegetable dyes that we rarely see in old rugs and it offers great depth and framing in the corners of this rug, with details of beautiful antique ivory foliage.
The ice-y turquoise central eight petaled medallion with its pastel pink center is exquisite and large. The borders of the rug as well as the field color is in rust, a color combination with field to border we don't often see. Typically, the field and border colors on these NW P E R S I A N rugs are in contrast. Go ahead and see all the pics we have to show it off, there are plenty!
This S E R A P I is highly stylized and has scattered wear. Low pile, handwoven with all natural, vegetable dyes. Aged well and certainly ready for the next chapter of life.
