This 1920s Persian Mahal positively glows. Her fiery coral ground carries a beautiful rose pink undertone, turning softer and more like a dark salmon in the light. Deep midnight blue gives the floral drawing its strength. This rug features golden wheat, apricot, burnt orange, and muted green-blue in her floral petal details.
Broad blossoms, curling leaves and branching floral sprays repeat across the field in a wonderfully balanced allover design. There is generous movement in those sweeping stems, with enough space around the larger motifs to appreciate their individual shapes.
And the wool deserves its own moment, truly. Soft as mink to the touch, with a gorgeous luster and a silky feel as you pass your hand across the pile. You will LOVE her underfoot. Her sheen brings different tones forward as you move around her, giving the surface that almost lit from within quality.
