This gorgeous Persian rug from the early 1900s is a Lilihan, but at first glance it looks like a Sarouk. The whole thing is like a floral paradise, with these intricate floral sprays all over a warm-hued ground. The border bands are like a botanical dream, complementing the overall composition of this lovely rug.
Although this rug has seen some life, it was handwoven with vegetable-dyed wool that's aged like fine wine. Sure, there are some areas where the wool has worn away a bit, but honestly, it just adds to the charm and this aged rug still has lots of life and love to give. The wool itself is old world, and lovely with a floppy handle, and still will serve.
This old beauty will bring a soulful presence to any space it lives in, inspired by nature with floral art and curvilinear design. Plus, it's at a steal of a price. With lots of life left in it, this gem of a rug is practically begging to be the centerpiece of your space.
