This antique Persian Ferahan is for the lovers of fine weave, tiny details, and rugs that simply know what they’re doing. Crafted in the 1880s in Persia, it’s everything a Ferahan should be: tightly woven with vegetable dyed wool and packed with a field of small-scale botanicals that really show off the craftsmanship.
At the heart sits a sweet diamond medallion with floral details floating on an ivory ground, framed by corner spandrels that feel like a soft nod to old-world architecture. The rest of the main field is packed with a botanical pattern that lays against a midnight blue ground that keeps your eyes moving. Borders are slim and dainty so the main design gets all the attention it deserves.
The palette has mellowed beautifully with age, the way only 140-ish years can do. It has character, patina, and yes, a tiny patch that got some TLC. The handle is dreamy and it folds like a handkerchief, that true, floppy antique feel collectors get excited about.
Soft wear, high charm, and ready to be the cool, quiet flex in any space. A true old-soul beauty that’s lived a life and is still going strong. Please see pics for full character and condition.
We will ship it with a pad on the house to keep this little gem nice and snug.
