A grounded, easy-to-live-with Persian Heriz from the 1930s featuring the strong, angular tribal geometry that mountain weavers are known for. The ground color reads neutral sand with parchment tones and warm mineral undertones. Please see up close shots so you can sense the color of the field, it’s super faint, but quite present. Other colors include cacao, soft oxidized teal, earthy brown and walnut, baby blue, and ivory. This Persian has been softened through a compound wash that gently muted the original dyes to create a calm, versatile palette that pairs beautifully with both traditional and modern interiors.
The design carries an all-over jagged, architectural rhythm, framed by structured borders that anchor the composition without feeling heavy. Woven in sturdy wool and now sitting in a low, even pile, this piece has the substantial hand and durability expected from classic Heriz construction. The ends and sides are fully secured, and the rug has been professionally cleaned, making it fully floor-ready.
Heavy, rugged, and quietly striking, this is a neutral Heriz that delivers authentic tribal character while remaining exceptionally flexible for styling.
ps - Natural sunlight is visible in a few photos on the bottom right corner, creating a brighter highlight that is not a color variation in the rug itself…it’s just the sun saying hello ☀️.
