This one’s got STORIES.
An antique Persian Heriz from around 1900, with the kind of wear that only comes from a century of real life underfoot. She’s been battered, she’s been bruised…and she’s still standing proud.
The oversized central medallion is pure Heriz drama (in the best way), framed by that classic navy border loaded with tribal geometric movement. The vegetable dyed palette has mellowed into that perfectly softened, sun washed blend…dusty coral, denim blues, and those quiet earthy notes that only age can create.
When I acquired this rug it was not in the best shape, but still had good bones! I have given this beauty some much needed TLC and it is now stable, intact, and floor ready. There are a few small repairs/patches done thoughtfully to preserve the piece: one patch along the side border, and a couple small patches at one end.
Nothing about this rug is trying to pretend it’s brand new. This is the real deal… it's got wear, visible history, and an antique presence you just can’t manufacture. Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool.
