This antique Persian runner comes from the Kurdish tribe and dates to the late 19th century, a true old-world piece with serious personality. The field is filled with a linear, small-scale flame boteh pattern set against a deep chocolate brown ground, giving it a bold but grounded look. The botehs run in tidy rows, but like all good old rugs, there’s a bit of charming irregularity that reminds you it was made by human hands, not a machine.
The borders are pure joy, a cheerful floral chain wrapping the runner in pops of color and movement. You’ll notice rich reds, warm ivory, inky blues, and little hits of yellow that still pack a punch thanks to its 100% vegetable dyed wool, both in the foundation and the pile.
Handwoven and holding up beautifully, this piece is in very nice condition for its age and measures just under 10 feet long, perfect for a hallway, kitchen run, or layered moment. It’s got personality, history, and that classic Persian energy that always hits different.
