Small Vintage Tribal Persian Rug / 3'6 x 6'8 Kurdish Rug #4282

Regular price $1,650.00

Meet this spicy little village Malayer from circa 1910, handwoven with aged natural dyes that only get better with time (like a good leather jacket, but for your floors). This one’s got that tribal Kurdish energy all over it…edgy mountain motifs, bold geometry, and yes…there’s a human figure tucked in there because the Kurdish weaver literally wove herself into the story; icon behavior. And don’t miss the peacocks…little symbols of beauty and pride, hanging out like they own the place.

Vegetable dyes bring a nice contrast between warm and cool tones that capture a sense of balance and will compliment many décor styles. Condition wise…she’s got a low wool pile with scattered wear and is a little worn in at the ends (because she’s lived), but don’t mistake that for delicate. This beauty is sturdy and stout and can absolutely handle a high traffic space without flinching. A true old-world flex…with personality for days.
