A lovely floral rug from the Caucasus featuring an all over design in the field on a dark, space blue ground that is time worn, woven in the late 19th Century. The rug has abrash in the field as well, the natural variations of vegetable dyes and different batches of wool which were used to weave, so you'll see that beauty evident in this piece.
The border edge guards have interconnecting floral art and the main, middle border has wine cups and serrated leaves on an antique ivory ground. This rug has seen a lot of life and is heavily worn, but it will still give lots of love and decor! It is one of two antique rugs we've had with this exceptional and appealing design in the past 5 years.
