Lenkoran tribal designs are known for their abstract dragon motifs and this beauty is no exception with three Lenkoran shields with dragon heads and geometric patterns in butter yellow, rose red, sky blue, navy blue, and ivory against a navy blue ground. The beautiful mosaic-like pattern of the borders adds a formal feel to the whimsical dragon motif of the center field, which elevates the overall feel of this gorgeous rug giving it a sophisticated presence.
In addition to the wool foundation, this awesome runner was handwoven with wool dyed with all natural materials, such as vegetables, flowers, and plants. It has been love worn and has some old repairs, so please see pictures for up close character and condition.
