This is a soulful little scatter rug woven by tribal weavers of the Caucasus Mountains, dating back to the first quarter of the 20th century. A beautifully neutral piece with a soft khaki two-tone field, gently accented by muted tangerine borders and touches of dusty blush pink that peek through the tribal motifs. This little is subtle, earthy, and incredibly easy to live with.
Its shape is rectangular, though like all old handmade rugs, it carries a slight natural curvature along the edges…a quiet reminder that human hands brought it to life a century ago.
An absolute treasure and a wonderful collectible. Use it underfoot, style it as a layered accent, or hang it as textile art. Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool and with a low pile. Clean, stable, and fully floor ready. Will ship with a pad on the house to keep this little treasure nice and snug.
