Saved for Julieta - with trade price and pad
The woman that wove this fantastic skinny vintage runner must have been inspired by the colors of the sun setting at dusk. The abrash, which is when one batch of wool is changed to another, can be seen throughout giving a beautiful gradient of colors from a warm wheat to a muted rust color. Pops of muted mint and aqua blue add a nice balance to the warm and subdued color palette.
Circa 1940, this Persian runner boasts a small-scale Herati design, also known as the fish pattern, with other graphic motifs. An S-hook motif within the border bands symbolize protection against the evil eye.
In excellent condition and heavy bodied, this beauty is loaded and meaty with a great wool pile making it super durable and ready to take on kids, pets, and the occasional accident.
Bring this lovely runner home and place it in a kitchen, bathroom, or a walkway, blessing that space with wonderful floor art that will infuse it with heart and soul.
