Here's another real deal antique and skinny Persian runner and it's locked in with so much age. Even though a century has passed, this gorgeous beast is ready for another one hundred years. This worn beauty is skinny and long with a Herati design woven in, which means water garden design. If you look closely, you will see the pattern of repeating fish that the women weaved.
It comes from the Hamadan region in Persia circa 1910, one of the epicenters of rug weavings. The all over pattern sits on a dark indigo ground field. The wool is high quality that was dyed naturally with vegetables, plants, roots and flowers. There is nothing ever synthetic of antique rugs like this one. This runner had loss to foundation in one small spot and it has been secured with wool (see pic) and is ready to go!
It’d recommended to have a pad to give this worn runner some grip
