Small in size, but huge on tribal character, this antique 1900s Baluchi scatter rug is an absolute dream! Woven from 100% vegetable dyed wool from a woman of the nomadic Baluchi tribe, it features a wonderfully soft, floppy handle and a rich, deep color story that instantly draws the eye in.
Look closely at the field and you’ll see an intricate lattice arrangement with fish motifs surrounding the inner medallions. Can you spot them? To frame it all off, the border band is woven with traditional S-hook motifs, an ancient tribal symbol crafted for protection and good fortune.
Measuring approximately 3' x 4', it’s in overall great vintage condition with just a tiny touch of selvedge wear along the edge. It’s soft to the touch. Place it anywhere perfect as a soulful accent piece. It’ll work at the entryway, bedside, or cozy reading nook.
