Like them ultra worn and shabby chic? Well, this one gives you all of it and more. She's seen a lot of life, and recently, I gave her some extra TLC and mended some of her areas (see the details in the pics).
Featuring a poled central medallion and small scale boteh design throughout the field, this is an early 20th Century Persian woven by a woman of the Kurdish tribe. This old world tribal scatter rug sits on a dark navy blue backdrop and has pops of color and contrast between the warm subtly peached ivory and berry red. Inspired by nature, it also has animal and fish elements scattered about. You'll also spot some abrash, variations of the naturally dyed wool colors that show off the different batches of plant dyed wool used, which gives it a one-of-a-kind vibe.
This will be a perfect addition for a quieter spot, to ground a space with immense history, character and soul. Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool. This little one will ship with a custom cut rug pad on the house, to give it grip and security to live on.
