From the north of Persia, woven by the hands of nomadic tribal weavers in the Caucasus mountains, comes this small and soulful rug that’s battered and bruised yet still bursting with life.
From circa 1900, it carries a playful mix of colors with striking contrasts that show off the weaver’s bold spirit. Made of 100% vegetable dyed wool, it has a floppy handle and the unmistakable charm of a truly old tribal piece.
This rug has lived a full life, it's definitely love-worn and it shows wear, threadbare areas, and even a hole in the field, all part of its story and character. It will ship with a custom cut pad on the house to keep it nice and snug. Please see photos for full details of its condition and personality.
