Worn Antique Floral Persian Rug / 4’5 x 6’5 Rug #4217ML

Regular price $1,800.00

For the love of worn! This antique Persian Lavar Kerman, which was hand-knotted circa 1880, is a true masterpiece of old-world textile art.

The main field is an absolute feast of intricate floral and curvilinear artwork set against a soft, neutral ground. Look closer and you'll find a magnificent color story crafted entirely from 19th-century vegetable dyes: rich berry tones, ice blue, violet blue, inky navy, warm walnut, dusty green-teal, and delicate dusty rose. Framing it all is an exquisite border band anchored by a scrolling, dark navy blue ribbon-like motif that pops off the rug with incredible graphic impact.

Woven from fine, tightly spun wool, this piece has earned its beauty over nearly 150 years. It features a softened patina and true time-earned wear that collectors dream about, the kind of authentic character that only a century and a half of history can give. Intricate, soulful, and completely dreamy, this antique Lavar will bring an irreplaceable depth to any curated room.
