If you are looking to add a little history and a whole lot of soul to your space, allow me to introduce this stunning antique tribal runner, hand-woven by weavers in the Caucasus mountains, a region just north of Persia near the Black and Caspian Seas.
This piece features a striking burnt sienna ground rich with natural abrash variations, accented by five gorgeous step medallions in an antique ivory tone. Take a closer look and you will spot incredible tribal symbolism everywhere, from paisley motifs to animal elements and nature-inspired floral-geometric work, all held by charming floral chain borders.
Crafted from 100% vegetable-dyed wool with a low pile, this old beauty has a wonderfully worn, floppy handle. It has recently been given a fresh wash and some small, careful repairs to ensure its structural integrity and give it plenty of strength for its next chapter.
While it is not quite the most ideal fit for a busy kitchen, it will thrive in an area where the hustle and bustle is a bit less as this rug is worn. Finally, I highly recommend pairing this piece with a rug pad to keep it cozy, cushioned, and right where it belongs!
