She’s worn, she’s seen a lot of life, but she still has a ton of love to give! Meet this timeworn early 1900s antique Persian runner from the village of Malayer. She comes packed with things from a true bygone era: old-world wool that has been thoroughly tested by time, fantastic construction, and raw, organic vegetable dyes.
Resting on a deep navy blue ground, she features small-scale art throughout, showcasing a classic water garden pattern, known by collectors as the Herati design. She is absolutely steeped in character with that effortless, lived-in shabby chic look we all adore. Somewhere along the way, a professional weaver lovingly restored a few minor areas. You’ll catch the different colors of the old wool vs new wool color in those spots, with masterful handwork to restore the area exactly as originally designed and woven.
Please see pics for full character and condition.
After a century of life, this resilient beauty is ready to keep up, serve up endless quality and style, and make you proud. Offered at a great value, she's ready to bring her gorgeous history straight into your home and heart.
