Worn Tribal Kazak Rug / Green Antique Caucasian Rug 4' x 6'6 #3914

Regular price $1,800.00

If you love a piece with soul, history, and a little lived-in magic, this circa 1900 Kazak is an absolute standout. Woven by tribal artisans high in the Caucasus Mountains near the Caspian and Black Seas, this antique beauty breaks all the rules in the best way possible. While most Caucasian rugs are packed end-to-end with bold field motifs and central medallions, this rare gem takes a minimalist turn at the core. It features an unusual, narrow open field of serene vegetable-dyed green framed by a rich, multi-band border design. It is the only one of its kind in the entire collection, a true collector’s unicorn.

With over a century of history, this piece shows its age with authentic pride. It features a soft, wonderfully floppy handle and genuine time-earned wear throughout, making it best suited for a quiet, lower-traffic area where its art, design and history can be fully appreciated. At approximately 4' x 7', it delivers a heavy dose of mountain tribe soul and one-of-a-kind character to any space it calls home. Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool.
